Yirmi iki yıldır Ankara hayvanat bahçesinin müdürü olan Fikret (Uğur Polat), yalnız başına yaşamaktadır. Hayvanat bahçesinin kapatılıp Araplara satılması ve arsasında bir eğlence parkı yapılması uzun süredir gündemdedir. Fikret’in karşı olduğu bu eğilimi şimdilik engelleyen ise, soyu tükenmenin eşiğinde olduğu için koruma altında olan ihtiyar bir Anadolu leoparının halen hayatta olmasıdır. Leopar başka bir hayvanat bahçesine taşınmadan kapanma işleminin başlaması mümkün değildir. Fikret, içine kapanık yardımcısıyla (İpek Türktan) bu değişime karşı mücadele eder. Yönetmen, leoparın hüzünlü kaderinden hareketle, onunla yazgı birliği içinde olan insanların duygu dünyasını ortaya koyuyor.
Fikret is the director of the Ankara Zoo for twenty two years. His biggest concern is the wave of urban renewal and privatization, sweeping through the cities of Turkey. The prospect of his zoo being shut down, sold off to the Arabic investors and converted to an amusement park has been on the agenda for a long time. The project is stuck, as an old Anatolian leopard under protection due to being on the brink of extinction is still at the zoo. The leopard has to be transferred to another establishment to start the process of closure which Fikret and his introvert female officer strongly oppose. Drawing on the leopard’s sad fate, Kayiş reveals the emotional world of people whose fate are not that different.
